Management Writing

Macek has written two books on management, one of which was used as a text in the advanced management class of an MBA program. He understands nuance and can assist managers in creating/editing communications that convey exactly the message and tone the manager wishes to convey.

In addition to his management books, Macek wrote 178 weekly columns for the Independence Examiner. For three years, he was a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of American College Health. He published five articles in national professional journals. Additional writing included two successful grants funding public mental health agencies, dozens of pamphlets and articles geared to students in a university setting, and dozens of policies that promoted full integration of a university health and counseling service.

He currently writes “Executive Suite,” a monthly column that appears in Corporate Report Wisconsin’s print and internet editions. The column addresses issues of specific interest to CEOs and top level managers.
